Gowrie Children's Programs -
Gowrie SA has a short term, part-time position available for a qualified (Bachelor Early Childhood Education) teacher at our Thebarton site in one of our integrated kindy and child care rooms. This position is available from Wednesday August 4, for approximately 4-6 weeks, working every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There is the possibility that this position will be extended to a 12 month contract. The successful applicant would ideally be prepared to work varying shifts for an 8 hour day, but this may be negotiable for the short term. Gowrie SA has a full-time, qualified position available in our kindy room as well as in our Toddler at our Thebarton site. The successful applicant for the kindy room position would be working with our full-time, qualified team leader and another full-time qualified staff member in a team of three. We have between 22 and 30 children each day who attend the integrated child care and preschool program. (This position may be considered as a job-share position, so also apply if you are interested in part-time work.) The successful applicant for the toddler room position would be working with a full-time, qualified team leader, 2 (job-share) qualified staff and also a part-time Cert III staff member. We have between 15 and 17 children each day who attend the toddler program.
Gowrie SA uses relationship based programs for all children, with a strong focus on children's rights. We have an amazing outdoor area which is an integral part of our planning and program design.

Our programs are changing, and we expect to need extra full-time and part-time qualified staff by September 2010.

Relief Positions
The Lady Gowrie Child Centre has relief positions within our children's programs.
Ideally you should have experience working with the birth to five years age range and relationship based programs, a Cert III in Children's Services, or you are studying toward a Diploma in Children's Services (Child Care) or a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education.
