Professional Support Coordinator
Since January 2006 The Lady Gowrie Child Centre (Gowrie Training Centre) has taken on the role as the Professional Support Coordinator (PSC) for South Australia. This program is funded by the Australian Government as part of the Inclusion and Professional Support Program 2006 - 2008.
As the PSC for South Australia, the Gowrie Training Centre undertakes the following functions:
- Undertaking state-wide professional support needs analysis each year;
- Developing a Professional Support Implementation Plan for South Australia that reflects the professional support national priorities and outcomes of the above needs analysis;
- Engaging and managing Professional Support Service Providers (PSSPs) to deliver professional support, training, resources and equipment to eligible children's services in South Australia
- Conducting performance and financial reporting to ensure the Program objectives are met
